Thank you for all your comments regarding the potential Chatfuel Free/PRO Plan changes we have been considering. First, we'd like to stress that nothing has been decided yet and we are at the stage of collecting feedback and understanding your needs and concerns. However, we've heard that many of you have questions and would like to address all of them in one place.

Our ultimate goal in this activity is to determine, based on your specific needs, how we can best serve you with the most powerful solution at a pricing structure that makes sense for your business — whether you’re a non-profit, mom-and-pop shop, or Fortune 500 company.

We are 100% open to your ideas and feedback, and we want your voice to help us shape Chatfuel’s pricing structure: one that makes sense for you and your clients. After all, these are the values that have made this community so helpful to so many people.

Here are our answers to the most common questions:

1️⃣ Chatfuel promised to keep the platform free forever and is now doing the opposite of what was promised…

🗣️ We recognize that we told this to many of you, and we truly wanted to stick with that strategy. However, we could have never anticipated how popular our platform would become and how fast our user base would grow. The simple truth is that we've reached a point where it's challenging for us to keep moving and constantly improving our product while simultaneously supporting such a significant free user base. If you see value in our product, it is our hope that you will help us make it even better by choosing to become a paying customer. We’ll do our best to figure out how to make it painless and affordable for you.

2️⃣ The current PRO Plan pricing is not sustainable for some bots; including non-profit, educational, and high-volume content delivery use cases…

🗣️ We acknowledge this fact as well. While many of our PRO users get value at the current price point and find our pricing structure reasonable, it does not work for many of you. That’s exactly the goal of this activity. We are working on a solution that will address this concern and provide pricing tiers that most will be able to afford.

3️⃣ The proposed changes to the free plan (limiting the number of blocks, broadcasts, and subscribers) are unreasonable…

🗣️ We'd like to continue offering a free plan that will allow the majority of our bots to remain free and provide value for you. For those bots that will not fit within these parameters, we're working on pricing solutions that will be more affordable than our standard PRO Plan pricing. As mentioned before, we are prepared to make individual accommodations as well.

4️⃣ I am located outside the U.S. and and cannot afford to upgrade from the free plan…

🗣️ We understand that current pricing might not work in your particular situation. We are working on affordable pricing solutions that will make using our platform (without limitations) affordable for the majority of our users.

5️⃣ I am currently building bots for clients and quoting the price of my services. I need to know how much Chatfuel will cost going forward. Currently, there’s lack of transparency and too much uncertainty…

🗣️ The pricing structure we are thinking of will allow you to use our platform for a reasonable monthly fee. If you need PRO Plan functionality immediately and believe the standard pricing is too expensive, please reach out to us ([email protected]) to discuss alternative pricing solutions that we can offer to accommodate you.

6️⃣ The "Projected Monthly Fee" for the PRO Plan in my bot's dashboard is simply too high. I could not afford it if I were forced to move to PRO…

🗣️ We will not be forcing anyone to switch to the PRO Plan at the current price point. We're also happy to discuss alternative pricing options for the full PRO Plan functionality if you need it. In those cases, please reach out to us ([email protected]) for details.

7️⃣ Chatfuel wants to start charging me money, yet their platform does not support many of the important features I need (media templates, email/phone number quick replies, etc). Also, there’s no timeline as to when Chatfuel will support these features because they never tell us...

🗣️ The Messenger bot space is rapidly evolving, so there is an endless list of features we could be implementing at any point in time. Recently, we’ve been focusing more on infrastructure and stability and are proud to offer the most reliable solution on the market. At the same time, we're carefully listening to all our users, noting the most important and in-demand functionalities, and prioritizing their development to make sure these features are available for your business in a timely manner.

8️⃣ I primarily use the “Automate” tab and rarely send broadcasts. Why should I pay “per reachable user” anyway? You should just charge the people who send lots of broadcasts, and let those who do not pay a low monthly fee…

🗣️ We're considering a number of different pricing solutions at the moment. We'd like to keep the pricing as simple as possible while making it affordable for every specific need. More details about the future pricing plans will be shared after we've done our due diligence and have a chance to discuss the options with many of you individually.

The main point we'd like to make is that we’ll do our best to offer a fair and affordable solution, while making sure that we fulfill our guarantee of offering the best chatbot solution your business can rely on long term.
